Timing of a foreign transfer – when will the foreign transfer reach the recipient?

Transfer times depend on:

  • Order dates – banks only carry out transfers on business days
  • Order hours – orders places earlier will reach the recipient one day faster (see table below)
  • Country of recipient bank
  • Currencies
  • Transfer type

What can increase the transfer time?

  • Christmas in the destination country
  • Weekend and public holidays
