Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to content published on the domain: Walutomat.com, hereinafter referred to as the „Website”.

The Website is managed by Currency One S.A. The Website is intended for the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities.

On the Website, you can:

• enlarge the view up to 200% without losing visibility of content and functionality,
• use most elements using only the keyboard,
• view content without encountering rapidly flashing elements,
• view content in horizontal and vertical orientation,
• use many elements with a modern screen reader.

We have ensured a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 between content and background for most elements.

When designing the Website, we strive to comply with the technical standard for websites and mobile applications EN 301 549 v.3.2.1. This corresponds to level „AA” in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.  The WCAG guidelines are also described in the appendix to the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications.

Digital accessibility status

The Website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. These guidelines are the basis for:

• annex to the Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications,
• Guidelines on ensuring the accessibility of products and services (pdf, 543 KB) from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation Of Disabled People,
• technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1  

Unavailable content

We strive to ensure that our Website is accessible, but we are aware of certain limitations. We are constantly working to improve known issues.

Below we describe the limitations we are aware of. Please contact us if you encounter a problem that is not described.

Known limitations:

1. Screen reader support. Not all form elements have clear descriptions. Their role and function may be unclear when read by a screen reader.
2. Alternative text for graphics and photos. Most graphics and photos do not have alternative descriptions that allow you to understand what they contain.
3. Links open a new window/tab without warning. Single links open a new browser window or tab without warning.
4. Automatically changing content. The slider/slide carousel on the home page changes content every few seconds. It cannot be stopped.
5. Clear order. Some information (e.g. the contents of downloaded PDF files) is not read by readers in the correct order.
6. Colour is the only carrier of information. Currency exchange rate charts show several types of exchange rates simultaneously. Colour is the only distinguishing feature between the lines representing each type of exchange rate, and people with visual impairments may not be able to tell the difference between them. It is possible to disable individual exchange rates and leave only one selected type of exchange rate on the chart.
7. Page titles. Not all pages have a title that clearly describes the content of the page.
8. Skip of repetitive content. The pages do not have a mechanism that allows users to skip fixed elements (e.g. menu) and go directly to the content of the page.
9. Visible focus. Not all active elements (e.g. links, buttons, icons activating tooltips) receive focus (e.g. a frame) when selected using the keyboard or are accessible using the keyboard.
10. Content under the cursor or focus. When navigating with the keyboard, some elements display additional content (called tooltips) when they receive focus. This content cannot be hidden without leaving the focus (e.g. by pressing Esc). Additional content (tooltips) appears when the cursor hovers over an element, but it is not possible to move the cursor to this additional content because it disappears when the cursor is removed from the element.
11. Link target. Some links to downloadable documents do not provide information about the format, size and language of the file (if different from the language of the Website).
12. Gesture support. Customising the order of currencies in the Wallet is not available for keyboard users – currently only works with Drag&Drop function. There is no alternative method to operate this feature.
13. Keyboard navigation. Some options and features are not available from the keyboard:
    1. change cookie consent settings,
    2. savings calculator.
14. Many paths. Usually, there is only one way to reach a specific page – through the main navigation (menu). The Website does not have a site map, table of contents or search engine that would be an alternative to the menu.
15. Plain language in documents. The rules and regulations governing our services can be difficult to understand. They contain complicated, often complex sentences, which can make them difficult to understand.
16. Plain language. Not all information may be understandable (e.g. the content of some consents, messages in the customer panel, emails).
17. Form error hints. When an error occurs in a form, we do not always include a hint on how to correct the error (e.g. by indicating the correct data format) in the message.
18. HTML code semantics errors. The Website contains semantic errors. However, these do not affect the functionality or accessibility of the Website.
19. Status messages. Dynamically generated system status messages (e.g., page loading, file transfer) are not available to assistive technologies without gaining focus.
